There are four types of NARI memberships:

• Local Association Members: Firms, corporations, associations and individuals whose business interest is local or regional in scope and who join NARI through a duly chartered local NARI association.
• Local Members-at-Large: Firms, corporations, associations and individuals whose business interest is local or regional in scope, but who are located in areas not serviced by an existing local NARI association.
• National Members: Firms, corporations, associations and individuals, other than contractors, who provide materials or services to the industry and whose interest is nationwide or multi-state in scope.
• Student Members: Full –time students of the remodeling industry enrolled in high school, vocational school, or undergraduate college program.
